TÜRKONFED "The Role of Women in Sustainable Economy" Summit that took place in Istanbul on September 14th 2016 brought together leading business people and opinion leaders to discuss women's issues in Turkish and global economy.
TÜRKONFED President Tarkan Kadooğlu, in his opening speech, stressed that TÜRKONFED is not only the largest SME representation body in Turkey, but also the largest organised women's organisation with its 31 member women's associations working on women empowerment.
TÜRKONFED Women in Business Commission Chair Prof. Dr. Yasemin Açık stated that they've declared 2017 to be the "Year of Women", adding that TÜRKONFED will focus more intensely on women's issues and activities.
