TÜRKONFED President Kadooğlu: ‘Participation of women in business is an indicator of development'

Participation of women in business is the most significant indicator of development. An advanced economy and an advanced democracy depend on increasing female employment, ending off violence against women and enhancing women’s social status.

Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation (TÜRKONFED) – Women in Business Commission (İDK), ‘Multidisciplinary Empowerment of Women’ project launched in Adana on December 25th 2015.

The event, hosted by Çukurova Industry and Business Federation (ÇUKUROVA SİFED), a member of TÜRKONFED and Association of Business Women (İŞKAD), took place with the participation of TÜRKONFED President Tarkan Kadooğlu; Mustafa Büyük, governor of Adana; Prof. Dr. Yasemin Açık, TÜRKONFED İDK Chairperson and İŞKAD President Belgin Özçelik, as well as various women’s business associations and well-established businesswomen in the region.

In his speech, Tarkan Kadooğlu stressed that “participation of women in business is the most significant indicator of development. An advanced economy and an advanced democracy depend upon increasing female employment, ending violence against women and enhancing women’s social status”.

Kadooğlu stated that the project will raise awareness in strengthening women in business and increase female employment.
