Local Development for Business World
The partnership of TÜRKONFED and CIPE, which started with the “City-Region: New Dynamics in Regional Development” project, continues its work with the “Local Development for the Business World” project in its sixth phase.
The sixth phase of the TÜRKONFED and CIPE partnership aims to mitigate the negative impacts of the earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023, on economic development. In this context, four field studies will be conducted, focusing on micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Turkey, particularly in earthquake-affected areas, to enhance resilience. Trainings planned in Hatay, Elazığ, Adana, and Adıyaman will cover supply chain management, business ethics practices, e-commerce platform integration, and networking with experience sharing.
Supply chain management training will
help businesses improve their supply chain processes, creating a more resilient
structure in the post-earthquake period. Business ethics practices training
will reduce the risk of corruption after disasters and contribute to the
formation of a business culture based on integrity, transparency, and ethical
values. E-commerce platform integration training aims to connect suppliers in
the earthquake-affected regions with domestic buyers, helping businesses expand
their customer base and increase marketing opportunities. Additionally,
networking and experience-sharing events will be organized within the project
scope to promote cooperation among businesses, increase the exchange of
knowledge and experience, and strengthen solidarity. The combination of these
activities offers a multifaceted approach to support economic recovery by
enhancing the resilience of businesses in earthquake-affected areas.
