Twin Transformation is a Must for a Competitive Turkish Economy

Important figures of the public sector, business world and non-governmental organizations, as well as experts, came together in the Competition Congress, organized for the 13th time this year by the Federation of Sectoral Associations (SEDEFED). Making opening speeches at the event with the main theme, "Post-Pandemic Industries in the Light of Green Transformation and the Circular Economy,” TÜRKONFED President Orhan Turan, TÜSİAD President Simone Kaslowski, and SEDEFED President Emine Erdem emphasized the positive effects of digitalization and green transformation, together referred to as twin transformation, on competitiveness, sustainability, and the circular economy.

The Competition Congress was organized for the 13th time this year by the Federation of Sectoral Associations (SEDEFED), which includes 40 associations operating in different industries, with the aim of making the business world, public, academia and NGOs more competitive, under the main theme "Post-Pandemic Industries in the Light of Green Transformation and the Circular Economy.” TÜRKONFED President Orhan Turan, TÜSİAD President Simone Kaslowski and SEDEFED President Emine Erdem made the opening speeches at the congress, and KONDA General Manager Bekir Ağırdır also attended the event as a special guest.

Discussing the elements of competitiveness

KONDA General Manager Bekir Ağırdır gave a speech entitled “Changes in Economy and Society with COVID-19” following the opening speeches. Three panels under the themes “Green Transformation and Circular Economy for Industries”, “Crisis Management and Leadership in the Business World” and “Financing of Operations and Investments in Companies” were held with the participation of important figures from the public sector, the business world and non-governmental organizations and experts. The 13th Competition Congress was concluded with a closing speech by Emine Erdem, President of the SEDEFED.
