TÜRKONFED Participated at the World Climate Summit!

The Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation (TÜRKONFED) participated at the first ever event by the World Climate Summit (COP26) in Turkey. TÜRKONFED Board Member and Green Transformation Commission Member Onur Ünlü made a presentation entitled “The First Fuel Energy Efficiency Potential Towards a Carbon Neutral Industry” at the panel and drew attention to sustainable energy management and the potential of Turkish industry in this area.

Countries participating at the World Climate Summit (COP26), organized by the United Nations, discussed climate change in all its aspects with events they organized in their own pavilions. Turkey also organized its first event within this context. The Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation (TÜRKONFED) represented business organizations in the panel under the theme "Positive Effects of Energy Efficiency Activities on Turkey's Struggle with Climate Change" organized by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.

TÜRKONFED Board Member and Green Transformation Commission Member Onur Ünlü made a presentation entitled “The First Fuel Energy Efficiency Potential Towards a Carbon Neutral Industry” on the panel. Ünlü talked about the importance of energy efficiency, sustainable energy management processes, obstacles facing businesses and their solutions and government assistance. Ünlü also highlighted the energy efficiency potential of industrial facilities and commercial buildings in Turkey.

Along with TÜRKONFED, experts from the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and private sector figures also participated at the event, which was moderated by Abdülkadir Bektaş.
