Mehmet Akif Koçak was born in Amasya in 1961 and completed his education in Samsun. Koçak started his career with the wholesale food marketing business, which he inherited the management of after the death of his father in 1979.
In 1985, while involved in trade, he decided to pursue an industrial change and became a dealer of various automotive brands in the automotive industry. Koçak has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Derindere Koçak Otomativ San. Tic. A.Ş., which includes Toyota dealership, Invest Insurance and Investcar Fleet Leasing since 2015. Additionally, since 2021, he has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Koçak Mobilite Otomotiv A.Ş., which provides daily car rental, motorbike sales and after-sales operations and has Sixt Rent a Car, Doğan Trend Otomotiv and Isotlar Group dealerships.
Mehmet Akif Koçak is also the chairman of the board of directors of many non-governmental organisations and continues to work as a member.
He is married and has a son.
