Born in 1979, Atalay Kaya got his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from De Montfort University, in Leicester, England in 2001 with honors.
Managing the family company, Kocaeli Kaya Şirketler Grubu, which was founded in 1961 and whose legacy is continued by the second generation of the family, together with his family members, Kaya is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kocaeli Kaya Satış ve Pazarlama A.Ş., the umbrella company of the company group. He has also been a Member of the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KSO) Assembly since 2004, and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry since 2018.
Atalay Kaya worked for different non-governmental organizations and associations throughout his education and business life. Kaya had taken part in university clubs throughout his years of study and he is currently an active member of the Kocaeli Higher Education Association, Kocaeli Sailing Club, Kocaeli Nature Sports Club, TEMA, Young Kocaelites Association, the Kocaeli Industrialists and Businessmen Association, and the East Marmara Industry and Business Federation. He has been the Chairman of the Board of the Kocaeli Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (KOSİAD) since 2019 and assumed the position of Chairperson of the Board for the East Marmara Industry and Business Federation (DOĞUMARSIFED) in 2021.
Atalay Kaya has been honored with awards, plaques and success certificates for his work in non-governmental organizations and associations throughout his education and business life, and for his support of many organizations.
Kaya is married and has two daughters.
