Semih Başaran was born in 1982 in Çanakkale. After completing his primary and secondary education in Çanakkale, he graduated from the Business Administration program at Bilkent University. In 2004, he took over the management of the family company engaged in agricultural machinery and achieved outstanding success. Semih Başaran established new ventures in the automotive and tourism sectors, and later incorporated the agricultural production sector into his business portfolio.
He served as the president of the Çanakkale Industrialists and Businessmen Association (ÇASİAD) from 2018 to 2024. During the same period, he also held the position of vice president of the South Marmara Industrialists and Businessmen Federation (GÜNMARSİFED).
In 2024, Semih Başaran was elected as a board member of the Turkish Business Confederation (TÜRKONFED). He is married and has two children.
